This global, top performing investment company is one of Southern Africa’s most successful third-party fund management companies. They now seek a creative writer to join their small, focussed marketing team.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to be an experienced and versatile communications professional who can hit the ground running and work across a wide range of marketing content;
  • You will be responsible for crafting compelling content, manage communication channels and ensuring messaging align with the company’s brand standards, tone and language style;
  • You will be responsible for content ideation and development for various channels, these include, website, video scripting, social media posts;
  • You will be required to provide support to the broader marketing teams’ content needs, e.g. proofreading, creative lines for ads;
  • You will be responsible for investor relations reporting cycle support and project management, including project management and content support for annual reports;
  • You will be responsible for content support for the company’s CSI projects – LinkedIn posts, press releases and event invitations;
  • You will be responsible for crafting content and delivering internal newsletters;
  • You will be required to provide ad hoc support for the communications requirements by internal stakeholders;
  • You will be required to work alongside PR agencies on media for CSI initiatives and gaining earned media for opinion pieces;
  • You will be required to work with design and production agencies on marketing collateral development;
  • You will be responsible for monthly media reporting and analysis on all earned media coverage.

 

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You have a Bachelors’ degree in communications or journalism
  • You have 5 years current, relevant communications working experience in communication or a content development role and ideally with some FS experience;
  • You have financial services experience – this would be a distinct advantage but not essential –
  • You have a good understanding of various digital marketing channels, specifically, curating content for digital and the role of digital in the marketing mix;
  • You have experience with script writing for video;
  • You have experience with stakeholder management – including C-suite and agency;
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft office suite.

You are a fun person- who is both creative and disciplined – as you will be writing copy and it’s a great space but the copy is around FS type topics so not too wide a scope. You will have access to the best tools and team and will have fun at work.
